Christmas was Awesome :D

I had an awesome Christmas :D I hope that you did as well. Here is a summation:

On Christmas Eve the family that had already gathered sat in the Christmas room (for so it is called) and my dad read the Christmas story from the bible and we discussed the origin of Christmas. We then proceeded to open one present. That night I opened Final Fantasy 3 DS. Final Fantasy 3 DS marked the end of an era. Once it was released, all Final Fantasies had finally reached American soil. 'Tis a great game.

Instead of opening our presents Christmas morning, we decided to wait for the entire family to be present. That last to arrive was Alisha and Emma, understandably. Whilst waiting for them, I was content to be with my nephews. I grabbed up my nephew Asher and held him for a bit. After a while he seemed to want to walk around on his own, and so I let him down, which is when I caught sight of his shirt. It had the words only child crossed out and under them it said Big Brother. O_o Yep, Josh and Amber shall increase the size of their family soon.

Once everyone arrived, we attacked the Christmas room after the young ones couldn't stand to wait any longer. There was happiness all around as gifts were opened, especially from Emma. She got a High School Musical *shudders* cheerleader outfit and couldn't wait to put it on. I myself was very pleased with my gifts. I got four books. The Compound, Brisingr, Water for Elephants, and the fourth Leven Thumps book. Interestingly, I don't yet have the third book, so I ordered it online using the money I got from my grandfather. I also received Final Fantasy 4 DS (completely remade in 3D with voice acting and everything) and a missionary journal from Josh, which had an entry for Dec 25. Very heart warming it was. For most of the day we devoured the food stuffs that we had laid out on the tables and played Rock Band.

We had a very white Christmas. I don't think there has ever been this much snow on the ground since I moved to here. The Geo was completely covered with snow. About a half hour before midnight, Sarah had to go to the hospital because it seemed that she was having contractions. She didn't have the baby, much to her delight. Having a baby on Christmas wasn't what she wanted.

Although Christmas was over, that Saturday, I got another (late) present. My friend Kari came over and brought a movie called A Sound of Thunder for me. I have yet to watch it, but I shall soon. We then went to go see Bedtime Stories, which is hilarious, and then went to Wal*Mart to meet her friend. I held her purse the whole time we were there, trying my best to look the part of a gay guy :P It wasn't until we were leaving that it paid off as we passed some guy who made the comment, "Nice purse." We busted out laughing.

I had a great and awesome Christmas, and I hope you did too. I hope also that you remember what it is that Christmas is all about. Not the presents (though, admittedly, it does occupy a lot of my focus around this time of year), not the food, its not even about spending time with family (as much as sappy TV shows like to say). Those are all just bonus features that we all like to enjoy. The true reason is to celebrate the birth of Christ. Remember this well.
