LOLcats are Awesome!

Before expressing the awesome that is lolcats, I have a few bits of news.

Firstly, in just two short days, NaNoWriMo starts up. Don't expect to hear from me much, I want to dedicate as much time as I can to it. ... I'm SO EXCITED =D

*ahem* Second, I have scheduled several posts for November while I am away. I kind of went overboard with it. November will have more posts than any other month :P

Now onto the lolcats.

I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER?

Ages ago, (or perhaps just a few years), some internet geek decided to give this picture a caption. He decided that the cat would have low english speaking capabilities and would desire a cheeseburger. Thus, lolcats was born. Now geeks all over the world take pictures of their cats, make a silly caption, and upload them to icanhascheezburger.com, hoping for internet fame. It is standard issue that the cats have trouble speaking english correctly and several fads have developed. There is of course the cat wanting a cheeseburger, but there is also a walrus who is looking for his bucket that was stolen by a zookeeper, invisible items (bike, stereo, etc), and things like the hovercat and the monorail cat. If you ever need a good laugh, go find lolcats. Sometimes, an Internet geek decides to do something a little less than appropriate though, so watch out. Now for more kitties.
funny pictures of cats with captions

Sometimes they can be a little hard to understand. Kittehs no can speek teh english verreh well.

And we finally get an explanation.

I just can't help but laugh when I see this one. Mostly because its so true, cats seem to seek out food that will make them barf.

Well, tomorrow is Halloween, and after that its NaNoWriMo, see you in December.

My Nephews are Awesome!

Tonight I had the rare opportunity to see all of my Nephews in one place. :D We were celebrating Asher's first birthday and everybody who was anybody was there (Note: Rachelle was not there.) (Note the Second: Alisha wasn't there either, but that wasn't her fault, she lives like, three hours away. And don't worry Alisha, Emma will be getting an Awesome as well.)

It was a big party and there were lots of people there and there were lots of snacks to snack upon. It was a great opportunity to see my nephews and how they have grown since I've seen them. Take Jaron for example:

Jaron has gotten a lot more clingy to his mommy. Anyone who knows Heather will know why. Heather is a student teacher and is gone during the day. Poor Jaron isn't used to that. He feels like he needs to spend as much time with his mommy as possible, cuz he doesn't know when she might leave again. Don't worry Jaron, it won't last forever. Jaron decided that he liked the cupcakes that we had at the party (or at least the frosting); he had three of them. It wasn't long before we could see the affects so much sugar. He started going pretty crazy. But what about the birthday boy Asher?

Asher is now one years old. =D His hair was done up in a little mohawk and it was adorable. He hardly fussed at all the whole party, and when he did, it was only for a second. When he was sitting in his chair, he seemed content to just watch us. When he wasn't in his chair, he was in his daddy's arms. Asher seems to be very close to his mom and dad. If he started fussing, all it would take is for one of them to say something and he would calm down. He got a whole lot of presents. He would hold on to them for a second, and then throw it on the floor when the next one came. one of the presents was a toy cell phone, which was the one toy he didn't want to throw on the floor. He's only one, and he knows whats popular: cell phones baby. ...I... I don't have a cell phone yet...

For whatever reason, when grandma had Tayson and I came over, Tayson wanted me to hold him. ^_^ I was pretty happy with that. I hadn't really held him in a while, so I was surprised that he wanted to be with me and seemed so comfortable in my arms. Maybe he is like that with everybody. Tayson has a unique way of showing affect/playing with you. He likes to head bump. He'll lean in and try to bump your head with the help of whomever is holding him at the time. Everybody awesome got a head bump (Note: Rachelle wasn't there, she didn't get a head bump). Tayson is also probably the tannest baby I know.

But wait, I have one more nephew. Nobody has really seen him yet. He's still in his mommy's belly. That's right, Tristan! I heard John and Sarah talk about how he's been kicking around in his mommy's belly. Sometimes, when that happens, John will lay his hand on Sarah's belly, and the kicking will stop. Tristan already knows his daddy. I'm very much looking forward to meeting Tristan when he makes like a baby, and heads out :P (I heard that one from Sarah).

You guys have such cute babies, even if we can't see one of them yet ^_^

Final Fantasy VII is Awesome!

Yep, finally time for a Final Fantasy post. I'm surprised it took me so long actually.

Final Fantasy VII is the seventh installment in the series (NO WAY!) and is often considered the most popular. It was the first game in the series to come out on a Sony Console and the first to use 3D graphics. When it came out, it had some of the best graphics in a video game people had ever seen. Compared to today's standards, the graphics are laughable, but eleven years ago (wow, it's been that long?) people were amazed. It is the best selling Final Fantasy game, and the second best selling game on the Playstation. Even today, many people consider it to be the best game of all time. There are usually two kinds of gamers when it comes to FF7, those who think its one of the best things to ever happen, or those who can't stand the first kind.

Final Fantasy VII is set in a dystopian world and the plot follows the Character Cloud. Yes, his name is Cloud, don't ask, I don't know why either. Cloud is a mercenary, and at the start of the game is working for a group called AVALANCHE. Lots of stuff happens. LOTS OF IT! IT would take ages to try and explain the plot to FF7. AGES! Not only does it have a lot of stuff, but it is one of the most confusing stories I've ever heard with so many twists and unexpected happenings that you have to play the game quite a few times to even begin to understand it. Final Fantasy VII was very different from all the other Final Fantasies. All the other games were in a much more fantasy style setting, while 7 was in a sci-fi setting. Most people didn't notice the difference however because this was the first one they played. That was the case with me. FF7 was the first one I played and I fell in love with the series.

What's this? How can the seventh game be the first one played? None of the Final Fantasy's are related to another (with the exception of the spin off titles). They each have different characters that tell a different story in a different world. They only thing that holds them together is the title and the people who make them.

Final Fantasy VII really draws you in. You connect with the characters on an emotional level, (even if they look like Lego people). Near the start of the game, you meet a character names Aeris (Aerith in Japan). Aeris is probably the favorite character for most people who play the game. She is fun and happy and takes away from the bleak outlook that is plaguing the world you are in. You know that what you are doing is serious, but Aeris just makes it fun. But then the unthinkable happens. She dies!

(Warning: Following video shows the death scene for Aeris. Some may not want to watch. If you are worried about blood, don't be, there isn't any.)

(In case you are wondering, no, Cloud didn't immediately take Aeris to her grave site and let her sink the moment it happened, there is a battle first, and then that second part happens.)

Did you see that! Sephiroth killed her! @_@ The music just made the scene better (and by better, I mean sadder) and I was literally yelling at the TV screen when I first saw this. Suddenly, the game is much more serious. Not only do you have to stop Sephiroth because he's planning on destroying the world in the worst way imaginable, but he also killed Aeris, and there is no way you are going to take that lying down. Honestly, this is probably one of the saddest moments in Video Game history.

Final Fantasy VII's popularity has led SquareEnix to make a ton of spin off titles ten years later. They made a movie sequel to it, a game that follows the events of the movie, a prequel game, and others. The list goes on. SquareEnix is milking Final Fantasy VII for all its worth, and most people are okay, if not very happy, with that.

Final Fantasy VII is still considered a great game by many, despite all the imperfections that it's bundled with, such as now horrible graphics and a sometimes laughable translation. Yet people still love it. It's still great, and forever will be.

I'm thinking of adding an ending thing to my posts, but can't think of anything :P

Awesome Pictures!

Good news, I found out that I can make a post and schedule when it goes to the front page. I've already made all the posts for November! ^_^ On a side note, if any of you happened to be subscribed to my RSS feed, then you got a sneek peek when I made a mistake and forgot to specify the date and time. They are all Youtube videos that I deem highly awesome. I hope you like them as well.

Now for today's awesome. I give you: Pictures of Awesome!

Laughed out loud when I saw this. (Whats this? LaTerry didn't use lol!?)

You really are.

It's true, I've tried and tried, and it just won't work without me.

Depends on the wizard actually. If Gandalf turned me into a whale, then yes, that would be very awesome.

If I ever get an office, I'm going to hang this on my door.

Super Mario RPG is Awesome!

Okay, because November will be hectic, I'll try and update this as much as possible so that you won't miss it in November.

A great thing happened to me not to long ago. Super Mario RPG came out on virtual console! There probably aren't many of you who understand the enormity of that statement. Super Mario RPG was the first Mario RPG game, and as such, is the father of them all. The Mario RPG's are all excellent games and they fill me with happy. What makes Super Mario RPG even better is that SquareEnix (then known as simply as Square) helped Nintendo make it! When I found that this game was available for Virtual Console, nothing else mattered until I got that game! Luckily, my littlest of brothers had a handy 10 bucks, and it only cost 8. Next thing you know, I was playing Super Mario RPG. :D

Seriously, its a great game. I'm not the only one who thinks so. The day after it came out, it was already on the most popular list. It has a huge internet following, as evidenced by the following video made by a fan with two much time on his hands.

(Warning: The following video has two swear words. Hopefully, you won't notice, I sure didn't the first time I watched it.)
(Note: Don't worry when you can't hear the first people taking, nobody can. They're just talking about Mario.)

Super Mario RPG represents the first (and one of the only) Mario games where the main point of the game ISN'T to rescue the princess and beat Bowser. In fact, Bowser and the Princess join your team and help you beat the real bad guy.

Super Mario RPG also introduced Geno. Geno is probably the coolest character in the game (in any Mario game). He is a star being that possesed a doll, and because of that, he can make his body do a lot of epic stuff. He can launch his arm, his fingers are little guns, he can unhitch his knee and fire a shot from it, and he can turn into a cannon. He also has the only attack in the game (Geno Whirl) that can hit 9999 damage if you use it correctly. Unfortunatly, Geno is owned by SquareEnix and hasn't appeared in any other games since then, besides one little cameo in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga as a mini game. We miss you Geno, we miss you.

Yeah, I really like this game. :)

NaNoWriMo is Awesome

Wait--What? What's NaNoWriMo and why is it awesome? Well I'll tell you!

NaNoWriMo stands for National Novel Writing Month. Its an event that takes place in November and has a lot of participants, including me. The point of NaNo is to write 50,000 words in the month of November. It can't be from a book you have already started beforehand, it must be a new novel. You start at midnight November first and write as much as possible, the goal being 50,000 words by November 30th 11:59 PM. You can write whatever you want, be it fanfiction, random silliness that comes to mind, or something that you want to be published later on.

I am participating in NaNoWriMo this year. What? Are you crazy? Probably. I'm totally unsure of how I will do, seeing as how most of my writing has been painfully slow up to this point, but I am willing to try. All I have to do is write about 1,667 words a day, not that hard right? Maybe, I don't know yet. All I know is that I'm very excited about participating.

During the month of November, don't attempt to communicate with me. My goal is to be writing whenever I have free time, and I have a lot of free time. That will be a little difficult because the TV is in the same room as the computer. I will either have to write when my siblings are at school, or at times like this when I am feeling extra nocturnal. Maybe my dad will let me use his office when it becomes particularly noisy in this room. That would help a bunch.

So far, one of my friends (the one who introduced me to NaNo) is doing it with me and we both intend to cheer each other on. If you are feeling particularly crazy, I recommend trying it with me. Go here if you wish to try: http://www.nanowrimo.org/. If you feel very much like a sane person, it would help a lot for you to a) not criticize my decision, and b) ask me how I'm doing every once in a while. I know myself very well, and I know that I am a champion procrastinator. I may find myself at the fourth week of November having only written the first day. I wouldn't be surprised. If one of you ask me how I'm doing now and then, or pretend to be excited to read what I've written, then I'll be much less likely to procrastinate in such a terrible manner.

So yeah, during November, don't expect my blog to update very much unless its to say how I'm doing. I have a small inkling of an idea of what I'll be writing. I need to work on it a lot before I actually start in November. So far, I think that my title is "The True Story of Roswell, New Mexico (A Blatant Fiction.)"

I think the hardest part will be for me to not edit as I go. Editing takes time and removes words, and I can't afford that.

My heavens what have I done?
